VISIONARY DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL FOR TEDDINGTON
Architects AWK have launched a visionary development in Teddington High Street to convert the former HSBC bank into a luxury boutique cinema. The last cinema in Teddington, the Savoy, was closed in 1960 and so the prospect of opening a new one along the lines of the Everyman in Esher is an exciting and innovative one for the town.
The design is called The Front Room Bar and Cinema and it is hoped that this proposal if developed, will bring both commercial and employment opportunities to the area.
The site is within walking distance of a number of local restaurants as well as Teddington station and as the town is rich in film and television history, it is hoped that this vision will become a reality at some point in the near future.
