NEW TALLEST BUILDING FOR WEST LONDON AT WHITE CITY?

The owner of Westfield White City, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield has unveiled plans to build a 46 storey skyscraper that could become the tallest building in West London.

This new scheme is also the latest development in the estimated £ 8 billion regeneration of White City. If given consent, it would be built to the north of the shopping centre bordered by Aeriel Way to the south with the Hammersmith and City line tracks to the north.

The latest plans indicate that Westfield wish to build 1,760 flats across nine blocks including a 46 storey skyscraper. Of the new homes, 355 would be discounted from market rates of which 89 would be `affordable` while 266 would be `intermediate` where tenants are charged up to 80% of market rates.

The site would also include a 1.4 acre public space and new pedestrian and cycling routes.
