HAMPTON POLICE STATION TO BE CONVERTED INTO A CARE HOME

At a meeting on April 21st, Richmond Council unanimously approved the plans from Cinnamon Care to convert the former Hampton Police Station into a care home. The original building was constructed in 1905 and will be refurbished whilst some of the rear wings and ancillary buildings will be demolished and replaced by a new three storey side and rear extension.

The development will also include 22 care suites for those wanting more independence and privacy. The vast majority of residents would not be able to drive but there will be 23 car spaces for visitors and a local minibus. The development will be able to provide specialist accommodation in the area as well as 75 jobs covering a wide range of skills.
