Stag Brewery Site, Mortlake – Latest Development News

This 22 acre riverside site has been acquired by Reselton Properties and the development Master Plan proposes a range of uses including up to 817 homes, 3,300 sq m of offices, 40 retail units, leisure facilities, a new secondary school for 1,200 pupils, a care village, health facilities, a playground plus a cycling and walking network. Approximately 6.9 acres is being planned for open green space usage.

However, the Mortlake Brewery community group has now responded to LB Richmond and has criticised the scale of the proposed development. They are also of the view that the plot is not large enough for the school. The new users will also have a significant impact on the local transport and traffic. Network Rail has also objected on the grounds that there will be increased risk at level crossings at Mortlake Station and Sheen Lane.

Reselton Properties have indicated that their proposals seek to deliver the aims and objectives of the adopted Planning Brief and meet planning policy in all respects. They claim that the scheme has a high standard of architectural design providing excellent amenities for residents and businesses alike.
