FINAL DESIGNS FOR LONDON`S NEWEST NEIGHBOURHOOD

The UK`s largest regeneration project at Old Oak Common is progressing. It is envisaged that 25,500 homes and 65,000 jobs will be created on a site over 640 hectares.

The site is tied in with HS2 and Crossrail with a brand new interchange planned. The station will effectively be split into two halves with the high-speed rail platforms in underground tunnels. A shared overbridge will link HS2 with the Elizabeth line at a ground level platform. Estimates are for a quarter of a million people to use the new station every day .

It is estimated that 150,000 new jobs will be created in total within an hour`s journey of Old Oak as a result of the widescale regeneration of the area.

The HS2 platforms will be covered by a new park which will be the welcome space to London`s newest neighbourhood.
